Working directly in the light of this film with the Korean People, we quickly learn how personalized each individual is regardless of nationality. One thing that I cannot overlook, and is true within the Asian culture, is the references to us (U.S.) workers and people of the United States. I know these "ideas" about us to be true first hand. Terms like "you have to stroke a donkey with the grain of his fur not to upset him" infuriated me knowing in the span of a day the very business man running the Chinese Glass company by today's standards, was unqualified to even work at an American Manufacturing Facility.. Rich in China, but a child by our manufacturing standards.
Why? We endured and learned many valuable lessons having gone through the industrial revolution years before the majority of Asian companies. They do not know now our reasoning for, safety, environmental regulations, & the value of human life being placed above that of the interest of any company or corporation. The dollar is still a fresh impact/feeling of freedom on their lives, same as it was for us 50 years ago during our industrial revolutions.
Another item that interested me greatly in this film, was the work ethic of the few in China, vs. the general work ethic of typical Americans. What did not make me feel ashamed of the performance of most of the American workers was the fact that they support and uphold themselves as individuals. The "few" that were factory champions at the Chinese facility are supporting "everyone".. There is a big difference.
There are also those that want our country to operate the way these socialist countries operate.. We should not have to sacrifice our our Sons, Daughters, Mom's & Dad's into the factories to work that hard, so Socialists can roll around in the park grass and live off of our efforts.. No Way..
If you dream of defining your own success, it can be done in the United States of America. It is here for you to make as plentiful & successful of a life as you can dream.. The contingent is, it is up to you to fulfill your dreams & many of today's people think they are above that freedom.
