Actually 4.5 stars. For a show about wrestling, this show had a surprised me so much! From the opening song of the show, I could just feel the heart and emotions of the people that put this show together. Stephen Amell and Alexander Ludwig had amazing chemistry together; actually the whole cast brought their A game. The writing was phenomenal; it almost felt stoic and poetic at times. The visuals and colour editing give the show a grimy look for the action scenes, and also give a down-to-earth realism to the emotional scenes. Such a beautiful

**Actually 4.5 stars. It's a really good show, I honestly couldn't expect what was gonna happen after each episode! My favorite performance was Mr.Lee, damn good performance! He was a mixture of John Wick and The Punisher. Excellent performance from the whole cast; the action scenes were nail-biting. The soundtrack and music in the show was awesome, pretty original and added a lot of gravity to the scenes. One of the best K-dramas I've ever watched; not your average K-drama! Highly recommend!!

Good actors and costumes...but the writing material they had to work with not so great; most of it felt cringe and forced. Honestly, the only appealing scene in the whole season was the first scene of when they were kids and their dad gave them a little speech about morals; that was the only good piece of writing and direction in the whole season (also the fight scene at the end of the first episode was good). Couldn't the actors be allowed to change some of their lines to fit their proper characters and the mood of the scene? Why do some of them have to cuss in a way that's flat and feels forced? The flashback scenes were overextending their duration, they could've cut off unnecessary parts and got to the point. When it came to the scene when they got their powers it even felt underwhelming. No offense to the creators, I respect the fact that they made this project, but sometimes I felt like this was directed by new, fresh-out-of-college directors, or people from the CW network. Again, this is just my personal opinion, but I hope they fix those mistakes in S2.

The story is incredible. This show gives the melancholy vibe of a dystopian future where (some) humans leave the Earth behind to build a new civilization; only for them to carry that same darkness within them to another world. The writing for the characters is so emotional and beautiful, almost as if I was watching an anime. The fighting sequences, cinematography, world-building is incredible. This is like a mix of Dune, Alien, Blade Runner, themes from Mad Max Fury Road, and a little of Vikings.

The VFX effects are damn good! The action is well done, but the forté of this show is the emotions!! The emotional scenes really make you feel for the characters. One dispute I have is to not over-use the same song for destroying monsters. They should have a more badass original soundtrack for killing the monsters instead of an old, overused pop song.

Incredible animation; the action sequences are movie quality, the 18+ rating doesn’t hold back the gore and profanity in the story, each character has a very unique essence in personality and charisma. The story plays itself so well consistently throughout the series with a VERY satisfying ending that leaves you with an introspective view of oneself and purpose in the world.

I can't believe we live in a world where simple action slap-stick movies like John Wick get 86% by critics, while Den of Thieves with great storytelling and character-driven plot, gets a 42% from critics, this is ridiculous. This movie was truly beautiful; I love how the movie blurs the lines between who is good and who's bad. Of course according to the law, it's obvious which side has the "good guys", but everyone in this movie is a flawed human being who wants to do what they believe is the right thing in their own eyes. Heck I found myself actually wanting the "bad guys" to win in the end.

Season 1 of Top Boy on Netflix (Season 3 of the original from 2011) was an incredible season for the show as it introduced characters who were older and already deep into the criminal underworld they were involved in. Under unfortunate circumstances, they are forced to come together and return to their criminal ways. After returning, they find out how the game has changed, so they now become the underdogs in a kingdom they once ruled as kingpins. The acting of all the cast is amazing, especially three stand-outs were Kano (plays Sully), Jasmine Jobson (plays Jaq), and Dave (plays Modie). The colour grading and editing is also a nice touch to the show's asthetic. Season 2 of Top Boy on Netlfix (season 4 of the original from 2011) has been the best season of the series by far. Each of the episodes are very consistent to the story and had no filler. Every character had demons they had to deal with and find a way to navigate through them from the aftermath of season 1 on Netflix. The final moments of season 2 on Netflix are the most tragic moments of betrayal and loyalty that will leave you haunted and morally conflicted.
