Not only a mini-history lesson, but a love story too. I was not a Reagan fan due to the ignorance shown by the Administration towards AIDS sufferers. I was also brain-washed by liberal college professors to reject everything about the Republican Party. I was a Dem through and though until I grew up, started paying a lot of taxes, and re-examined the history of the Democrats, including their KKK Affiliation. I then was an independent for years. I dislike politics but I believe the Dems have become so radical that I cannot continue to support their extreme agenda. Men in Women’s sports? No. Women fought too hard for title IX for it to be stripped away by 0.02% of the population. Trans hormones & surgeries for kids under 21? They can’t even drink in some states! Ronnie loved America and wanted less government. That is something I can agree with. He had a common-sense approach and used his optimism for the greater good. Everyone makes mistakes, but not everyone gets to be POTUS. If you are the CEO of the free world, you better stand up for it, treat it well, and not apologize for errors made by past leaders. This movie does a fine job of getting to the essence of what made Reagan tick. I highly recommend the movie and the fine performances given by the leads.
