This movie isn't the worst thing in the world.
I like the Disney Princess stuff, the Slaughter Race stuff, the Vanellope's song stuff, the Yes (as in the character "Yes") stuff, the Knowsmore stuff, and the Ralph as Bob Ross stuff. But other than that this movie takes a fun charming love letter to arcade gaming gives it an unnecessary, insulting, lazy, bad sequel that derails its characters and shovels product placement and Disney fanservice down your throat. A lot of people bash The Emoji Movie for being an ad but don't bash this movie at all. And then some of them say that comparing the to is like comparing trash to gold. Which simply isn't true. Between the two of them, yes, The Emoji Movie is clearly weaker but Ralph Breaks The Internet is actually more insulting between the two because it takes characters from a good movie, ruins them, and puts them in a far inferior movie that prioritizes showing Disney's stranglehold on the entertainment industry over being an actual feature film. Disney has a handful of movies that are worse than this but out of all of them, this movie is the most insulting. Not just because of how excellent it's predecessor was, not just because it derails it's preestablished likeable characters and shoves them in this dumpster fire, but also because of the fact that it exists only to represent the fact that Disney is so abominably colossal in the entertainment industry that they can pump out what ever garbage they want and, even if people bash it and critics talk down on it, they will make millions of dollars. Because they are too big to fail. Because they are Walt Disney Animation Studios. Sorry that this review is so long I just really wanted to get all of this of my chest and into this review.
