Saw it on IMAX and it didn't disappoint. Had a total blast from the first red lasser bean until the end. It's a non-stop ride: great visuals, awesome soundtrack, extremely well paced, introducing an interesting array of new characters and exploring a plot twist already hinted in the last Tron film. Sure, the characters are not super multilayered nor deeply complex, and they don't need to. They serve a story and its ideas. Tron has always presented a cautionary tale about the possibilities of technology in a fun, light-hearted, very entertaining way. Much like Legacy a decade ago, this film will be dismissed by many and then reappreciated overtime. Ares fits perfectly in this unique and fascinating universe created four decades ago.
