Well acted. Enjoyed it very much.

I normally like musicals. I have a background in music.,and even performed in musicals in college. But I just didn’t like the chaotic and frenetic approach to the whole film. The editing was so fast paced that it left no time to take in the scenery or costumes, or expressions on the peoples faces. Everything was loud fast and over-acted. There was no subtlety in this film at all. It was garish and painful to watch and to listen. There wasn’t one original song in the whole movie. The only thing that was good about the movie were the sets and the costumes, which were beautiful, but the editing was so fast paced that you couldn’t enjoy the scene for more than a few seconds without it continuously flipping to one scene after another. And the overacting left me cold. I felt like I was watching someone’s nightmare on cocaine. Sorry... but if you like musicals, maybe you should try Chicago instead. That is unless you like chaos, then this musical is for you.

I enjoyed both the book and the movie. I thought the acting was excellent. It was good to reconnect with the characters described in the book. I thought the characters were very interesting.... kept my interest throughout the movie. The book won a Pulitzer Prize. Yes, it’s written from a child’s point of view, but that’s no reason for critics to pan the movie or the book.

I enjoyed the movie very much, especially Alita’s personality, and interactions with the supporting characters. I found myself pulling for her throughout the movie. The expressions on her face were subtle and extremely expressive. The acting was great. In fact I thought everyone of the actors did a great job. And the action scenes were outstanding.
