This is American self-aggrandisment and shmaltz rolled into one with a plot that is wearily so predictable. Come on Tom Cruise, you have shown you can do so much better than this!

A thinly disguised plot along the Cowboys and Indians theme, where the Cowboys are the baddies. The plot itself is pretty thin, come to that. Good visual effects but how it was nominated for so many Oscars I'll never know.

Thi is a slow burn. The first 2 episodes spend time introducing the characters, so concentration is needed. It then blossoms into full throttle action with a number of twists. It's beautifully acted, scenery is breathtaking and it cleverly uses the storyline to help make sense of future events. I can't wait for Season 2
