Personally, I give this game a 3
I don't give low ratings for Assassin's Creed stuff usually, but this game deserved it. Assassins Creed Odyssey has some of the best gameplay I could ever have seen from any Assassins Creed game but the problem with it is the story. The story has practically nothing to do with Assassin's Creed itself. It didn't even feel like Assassin's Creed either. Almost nothing regarding the Creed, itself is mentioned whatsoever and the removal of some major Assassin's Creed abilities such as the wrist blade and the Eagle vision was a big turn off. You don't get the satisfying abilities that other AC games have provided. And what also makes me very questioning is where the hell did Alexios or Kassandra's strength originate? The only other AC game I have actually played is AC Unity. And it shows how Arno progressed into the Creed in general. It actually showed SOME meaning to AC itself. If I'm going to be honest, this feels more like some game for the movie 300 rather than an Assassin game.
But for the good part about it, the game is actually pretty fun for me. I'm not someone who really judges the game whether it's fun or not based off the lore in general. It has really beautiful graphics and it has a very massive open world. I really like it for that.
But yeah, it was very much worth 3 stars, the true purpose of the game had nothing to do with Assassin's Creed.
