Whiners who loved the original and think it should follow the exact same vibe - just go watch the original and leave the rest of us out of it. This is a unique creation and it's so sad that unlike twenty or thirty years ago major networks were smart when they would let a series not go gangbusters right away but give it a bit if time to build its audience. Excellent and interesting characters and stories. The flash backs needed to go or be minimized in a season two but as a way to establish a history, I enjoyed it even if some of the wigs were a little iffy. I think this series deserves a shot but I can only imagine the budget needed to shoot with the sets and costumes and all - and shooting anything in California/ L.A. has got to be an utter nightmare of trying to shoot around all the criminals running around that town and pretending that they're not present, in addition to the ridiculous regulations that California looooves to vote in and then scratches its head when every industry - including TV and movies - high tails it out.
