I watched it all, because I needed to see the revenge to clear the slate, but girlies.. I beg of you. Please don’t watch this if you have any rape trauma. I know it’s historically accurate, but this sent me straight into a panic attack.

The way this movie was shot is more important to its effectiveness than the plot itself. The tight shots following the characters while they held increasingly fraught and finite light sources was brilliant. Watching it, I felt like I was playing the characters in a video game. I felt like I was them. Terrifying and terrifyingly underrated.
