I really, really wanted to like this movie. I love post-apocalyptic films, so I figured this would be a hot new flick.
I was wrong.
At first, I was impressed by how well the movie kept my interest with little to no dialogue. Most of the events in the first three-quarters are easily guessed; the movie strings you along to believe that some enormously important event is going to occur. When it finally does happen, it's this: the ending. I felt this movie was a writer's perspective of extreme global warming as if it were to happen next month. It's as though the world was functioning perfectly one moment, and the next it was shrouded in smog and disaster.
