Personally, I liked this movie. Was it scary? No. But did I expect it to be? Not really. After reading the reviews, I’m convinced the people who didn’t like it just didn’t understand it. Like how the movie Interstellar is hated on by people who can’t follow along. Don’t listen to the review where someone listed 20 questions that I was able to easily answer because I paid attention during the movie. All of the “plot holes” people claim? Also disagree. A lot of people are just incapable of drawing conclusions when they aren’t spoon fed to them. If you expect to be TERRIFIED, you’ll walk away disappointed. But a lot of people don’t seem to realize that the genre is listed as horror/mystery so mystery is part of it, and I think it delivered.
