So far it's been the best expansion in a long time, and for once I actually care about the story. Normally when a new expansion comes out I would skip all dialogue, I advise you please DO NOT skip the story dialogue!
I have played WoW since 2004, and I have not enjoyed an expansion this much since BC/Wotlk, including updates from Dragonflight this is what you have to look forward to: (no spoilers)
- Story is really good so far!
- with professions you don't have to max them out from previous expansions to do them, for example you can do War Within blacksmithing off the start.
- Gorgeous Zones, it feels like effort has been put into crafting them.
- collectibles have followed on from Dreanor on mini map.
- Hero tree makes the class feel more unique.
- Delves are really good fun and are getting more challenging.
- Follower dungeons you can take them at your own pace and it works well as Tank, Healer or DPS.
- Warbands share rep now so interest for some.
- Skyriding 10 minutes in! So handy travelling the new zones, they are big but you don't feel restricted and you get rewarded for exploring.
some negatives*
- Getting equipment upgrades can feel a little off unless you have a professions to make gear, but for my Warrior I didn't worry about it too much.
*UPDATE* since doing leveling another character from 70, getting gear by following the main story has been nice and easy, before on my Warrior I kept deviating from the story to do something else so that is why it felt like it was inconsistent, where it was just me all along lol.
So far it's deserving of a 9/10, I am hoping when I get to the end game there is enough content there to last for a few months.
