It had me laughing and crying every episode. I love how simple the animation is, because in my opinion, it centers the most on the emotions of the characters, and I find it effective (the animation) on portraying how they feel. We didn't need any grandiose way of animating it to make us tear, because of how well-written the story is. Sibce I love this boy so much, I ended up finding all the copies of each volume of its manga, and I promise you, there are so much more about Kotaro's life that will break you heart and warm you at the same time. This anime and Kotaro will forever have a special place in my heart and I will definitely share this to others. Hoping for season 2!
