Nothing's going to replace this game. I played while I was underage (around 6-7 years old) and never had the chance to play it while actually of age, how ironic lmao.
I've got SmallWorlds to thank since this game pretty much taught me how to be social and make friends (despite the dangers online relations posed, especially since I was a clueless and naive kid).
I was able to maintain friendships with people that lasted years even after the game shut down. We became very good friends despite the friendship being purely online. When the game shut down, we resorted to Roblox since it was the closest replacement to SmallWorlds. As unfortunate as it is though, those bridges were eventually burnt, mainly because of my thoughtlessness and rashness. The friendship I lost is something that I still rue over to this day and the days onward.
Even though the very reason that I played this game in the first place is gone, I won't forget the countless other precious memories that I had on this site whether they were good or bad. If ever this site is revived (unlikely), I'd happily start over and create an account on it again.
Rest in Peace, SW. Thank you for your service. o7
