Decent adaptation of the original.
It always had to be a an uphill task to ace up with the stature of the classic Forrest Gump, but the writers and the producers were up to the tasks.
The deviations from the original plot and storyline of Forrest Gump were both good and bad in a sense that they provided a subcontinental cover to the story but perhaps shallowed the depth and arc lines of some characters.
A few examples may be that the mother in the original had to sacrifice much more for the lead, the love interest of the lead went through much harder times in the original, and the bomb stricken handicapped friend had a better story in the original.
Overall despite it's flaws the movie is a superb watch, as was expected from the maestro Aamir Khan.
