The Suicide Squad started off great! The comedy, action, and violence are on par for James Gunn. However, the movie suddenly takes a bizarre twist and ends up being a weird B movie that doesn't translate well. The writing fell flat, the jokes stopped hitting, the violence was mediocre. Definitely not the best DCEU movie, but not exactly the worst. If you have HBO Max, check it out. If not, save your money and wait for it to come to a streaming service you have.
