Gorgeous location, beautiful people, and with lightly clever and entertaining storylines. I enjoy unwinding to these easy episodes after a hectic day at the office. I think it's a winner.

Loved it! Smollet's acting was sensitive, complex, and on point in every scene. I enjoyed the performances of all the actors. There was chemistry and realness. My only critique is that on a professional level, I'd like to see Vivica play softer rolls. I don't think hardness suits her. I think clever and loving are the talents in her acting bag. But that oversight is probably due to the limitation of Hollywood roles for women of color.

I very much enjoy seeing people of color in roles within the sci-fi, fantasy, and macabre genres and of a high caliber as well. This amalgamation was a rarity, if it ever happened, in my youth. This series is successful because of believable performances in unbelievable circumstances. It was a beautiful blending of culture, the cultural experience for the times, and otherworldly lore and mysticism. Good job!

I love this show. It's my belief that the evolution of each character genuinely transitions them into their 50s. I relate to their progression; the maturity, thoughtfulness, and the consideration they give to themselves and each other. I admire and respect that this is no longer SATC, but the next step in their personal journeys. I'm most proud of Carrie. She's navigated devastation, accepting abrupt change, and rallying to meet life as it unfolds with all its surprises, good or bad, with such style and grace. And, let's not forget the fashion and the charming, interesting new supporting characters.

Finally watched the 2023 version of The Color Purple. It's joyful and its own imagining of the book. It's not the original. Its also a musical. So, if you're late to the party like me, don't expect the old. Open yourself to the new. Take it in. Enjoy it for the modern tale that it is today. 😊

I thoroughly enjoyed the performances and action. My only criticism is the same that I have for many films of most genres, but particularly for action films, and that's a rushed or weak ending.

The series is predictable in its typical plot that's seemingly angels vs. demons or something of that nature. The storyline is the standard star crossed young lovers held apart due to cosmic forces and repeated tragedy; unnecessary and frustrating secrets and lies from the alleged adult protectors/elders; only on a rare occasion does anyone do anything that makes sense; and, the viewer is fed just enough thrill each episode to hold themselves captive to a dragging plot...etc...etc. On the more positive side, the actors are attractive and there are distinct character types with a moderate amount of emotional development. It's the same ol same ol done averagely well.

I thoroughly enjoy this animated show. Through hilariosly ridiculous situations, it demonstrates the progression of man's development in our early development using fables of domination, greed, stupidity, empathy and on and on. It's animated social commentary that is comical and clever. If you're a thoughtful soul, it will likely grow your social awareness and confirm suspicion that our society is not as complex as some would have you believe. We are a basic and base species with an occasional sprinkle of decency. The show is as simple as we are basic.

From the perspective of someone that's been around for a long time, this is a poignant yet endearing coming of age piece with a back to the future themed backdrop. Everyone should be so lucky as Elliott. The world would be a better place for it. The cinematography is beautiful. I want to live on a cranberry farm situated off the banks of a large lake. These are two things that have never crossed my mind before now.

An intriguing and sophisticated English murder mystery with beautiful cinematography set in an absolutely gorgeous village. The acting is brilliant and believable from all the characters, but I particularly enjoyed the performance of Ms. Bond, who plays the leading character. The well written and fully developed script is entertaining. The storyline began luring me in from the start with its simple opening beginning with the creation of a crossword puzzle and a tin of travel sweets (I knew immediately that I had made the right selection from a bounty of hundreds). There are only four episodes, sadly. I wanted to binge the other episodes after immediately watching the first, but I forced myself to savor this delight sparingly to prolong my viewing pleasure. I hope and pray that there will be more seasons.
