I think Ralph Macchio nailed it!!
I can’t count how many times I watched the last three episodes. William Zabka was amazing throughout the entire season. It was so nostalgic for us who grew up in the 80’s, but yet they were able to incorporate the younger generation who loved the show as well, and some never even watched the original! Get on board young ones. You’ll have a whole new appreciation when you watch the movies. It was an amazing storyline and done at the perfect time. Now I’m stuck watching all three Karate Kids over and over again. This franchise holds a special place in my heart, and the nostalgia just put a smile on my face throughout the whole show. What a hit! And one thing I have to say, I waited 6 seasons to hear the song, You’re the Best Around, and it was played in the last episode during the training session with a Rocky feel to it, which was intentionally done. Incredible! I can’t stop flipping back and forth between my favorite episodes and the movies. Well done Ralph. He said at an Islander game one day during an interview, “I just can’t seem to get out of the 80’s.” My advice would be not to leave them… stay there!! After all, it was the best era to grow up in 😌
