This is a brilliant piece of creative move-making. It is effortlessly witty; the characters live their parts. I would consider Guns and Gulaabs a rare gem in an otherwise mediocre wasteland that is Bollywood. A special word on the background score: beautiful!

Had higher expectations. Casteism in the backdrop of politics: no surprises here. Acting: all the lead actors brought life to their characters except for Keerthy Suresh who appeared somewhat stymied in her role. The overall directorial touch was kind of middle of the road with no high points to speak of, as such. ARR's music and bgm hit their mark and often lifted the movie at the various points. This movie failed to register any level of a creative wow! for me.

Definitely one of the better Bollywood movies where substance is concerned. It had this rather unique approach to seeing relationships and life itself through the lens of the starkly contrasting dark times of WWII to remind the viewer how shallow and petty some our complaints and perceptions are, and thus, what really matters. This theme has been conveyed in a fairly interesting way.

A very well made movie that is anchored in the reality of the tragic and dirty politics of India. Every single actor has done his/her part quite equivocally. Bollywood churns out a lot of garbage in the name of moviemaking; however, here is a rare gem. It holds a mirror in front of the Indians for their realization and reflection.

Pada: another feather in the cap of the Malayalam movie industry! Raw. Crisp. Well crafted. Well casted.

Aa a thriller it did its job: kept you wondering, guessing. Hardly mindless. Two thumbs up!

The familiar topic of aging parents, dementia, care issues etc. Deftly crafted and acted with just the right touches and balance against the backdrop of personal and family relational dynamics. Realistic.

Simply exquisite! A gem of a movie. The atypical male protagonist is an interesting iteration! Kudos to the director. A must-see!
