I very much enjoyed this film. I like how the film takes advantage of the fact that we have never really explored the interior of the moon. Who knows what it could be on the inside?
Anyway, what I mainly enjoyed about Moonfall was the part where they destroyed the AI entity and saved the Moon. I'm not saying I didn't enjoy some of the other scenes in this film, but the AI fight was truly amazing.
Although some aspects of the film are scientifically implausible to achieve in real-life (like the Moon causing a person to float in midair), it allowed me to savor the experiences more and find more enjoyment out of it.
But scientifically speaking, I would judge several things in the film, including but not limited to:
1. A civilization existing before the creation of our Solar System? I don't think that is scientifically possible because of the fact that the universe was much different back then, and would have made it hard (if not impossible) for life to take hold.
2. Do you really think that the Moon could get so close to Earth without so much as a scratch? In the real world, the Moon would become a pile of rubble.
3. This is linked to the first judgment of realisticness: It is highly unlikely that the Moon would be a dyson sphere.
But other than that, this film was great and relatively family-friendly. I think anybody who is willing to watch this should watch this. So, go for it!
