It’s kind of bad. I’m a pretty big fan of apocalyptic movies, but I was really disappointed in this movie. After a very engaging opening action sequence with a very clear and seemingly executable character arc on the horizon, it all just falls flat onto typical trope. The non linear storyline tries to be like Arrival and only spoils the plot. I did not care if the characters died. Either way, you know they die, and it’s not as if they get developed to the point that you would even care. Excellent casting, but the diversity comes across as pretty forced tokenism to me. Everyone dies, Bullock decides to be a good mother, then the movie ends.
