Warning Spoiler Alert!!! I am only giving this two stars because of the ending, it was such a let down! There was so much beauty and feeling to this series, it sucked you in. We wanted happy endings for all the characters we had come to admire, yet there was only one. It seemed like so much build up to precisely nothing. I can see where Davies may have wanted to be more realistic, that a 19th Century man would have chosen money over love to save his family from ruin. However, it is not the way Austen ever would have ended one of her books. The characters were wonderful, each was interesting in their own way. There was a little too modernity in this show. It didn't feel appropriate to the era. There SHOULD be a second series to right these wrongs.
