I think the writer director has no idea of what makes these comic book characters so great, or what made the original Phoenix saga in the comics so powerful and memorable. Because this movie is tedious and all over the place with its characters and its story. This movie didn’t need to be made; the franchise has not yet earned this storyline. We have not even gotten to know any of the new X-Men yet. We still don’t get to know them in this, their last movie. Sorry Scott, Ororo, Kurt... we hardly knew ye.
