Not your typical Zombie movie by any means. Good storyline and the makeup was amazing and believable. CGI of the city environment where it was set (and surrounds) crumbling was incredible, considering where it was filmed.
Daisy Ridley played her solemn character well, with two scenes standing out at the caravan and the hotel pool (with Brendan Thwaite).
Brendan Thwaite's character was a true bogan Aussie, tough on the outside, but soft on the inside. Both actors complimented each other that made for a great team.
Mark Cole Smith's character was savage and sad bringing the puzzle of the journey closer together.
The ending was not expected, but made the movie.
A wonderful selection of Australian talent made this movie worth watching.
Written and directed by Zak Hilditch who chose to film his creation in Albany WA (5 hour drive south of Perth), has a great future in film making.
The reason why I gave this movie 3 out of 5 was due to the sound in 1 or 2 scenes. The music was louder than the actors voices, so parts were inaudible.
Otherwise, watch this movie, it will join the ranks of great Australian, homegrown art.
