Really enjoyed this game, I stayed away from spoilers and reviews till the game was finished. only went in knowing that the theme of the game was revenge and i knew it wasn't gonna be pleasant. The game stuck by this, each character you play as had pursued revenge of some kind and each time it shows the brutality it comes to and how nothing good comes from it. *SPOILER ALERT!!!!* Abby knew this when she let Ellie go for the second time and I feel Ellie also discovered this at the very end, and was simply tired of it and went home to remember Joel as he lived and not as he died. Also when Ellie came home and couldn't play the guitar because she lost a few of her fingers it felt like Joel had died a second time because that's something of Joel that still lived on and another sheer attempt of revenge costed her that, Dina and JJ.
