PK Steffen

Wanted to like it, but it is so wrapped up in itself that it never really lets you get connected to the characters. Back and forth between the sisters and the imperial court like a ping pong ball. The ending wraps everything up a bit too neatly without ever revealing too much. It is beautifully done and the actors do a good job, but the story never jumps off the screen or immerses you like the movie. You want to be a part of the world in the movie, not so much here.
