If you have the fortune to read the book, then do not watch the Netflix series. Basically they have written in new characters, re-worked a subtle tale of lives during WW2 Europe into a Hollywood “Inglourious Basterds” baddies v goodies etc. I could not even finish the 1st episode, so beware
