This is still the best movie in the franchise. The dinosaurs are still in their comparative infancy in terms of the special effects but because of the necessity of having to use some puppetry instead of graphics, it had an immediacy that the later films lack. The human interactions are stronger and the cast are excellent. I think it stands the test of time and I would rather watch it again than any of the others.
