This movie had a huge opportunity to educate people about domestic violence, to help victims get support, to speak to the awful truth that thousands of women and men die each year at the hands of their domestic partners. Not even 1 line of text at the end. Not a trigger warning at the start. Two women involved in this project, Blake Lively and Taylor Swift, have a captive audience of millions who look up to them. What a shame they couldn't have used this opportunity to educate and support instead of just entertain. I sat through the movie confident there would be a call to action or a support offered at the end. Nothing. The more I reflect on it the more I wish I had never gone to see it.
