I never write movie reviews, but if i can keep just one person from watching this, my life will have been worth living.
It's bad, it's just bad. The acting is fine, the music element is fine. His daughter did a good job, and Josh Hartnett was really good.
As a story, it is full of impossibilities, plot holes, and bad writing to the point that it stirs anger. If this was on Mystery Science Theater, the guys would burn down the theater and start a riot. I tried to make it "so bad that it's good", nope, just bad. I tried to make jokes and point out all of the "c'mon mans", but I couldn't keep up, the entire movie is a big c'mon man, that's bullshit!" He makes some great movies, some good ones, a couple of stinkers, and Trap.
