I watched this show on a whim and it was so delightful. A witty retelling (or rewriting, to be more accurate) of a little-known slice of history. Imagine what things could have been like if we didn't execute strong women! Bonkers. I was hooked from first episode. If you like period pieces, fantasy, and satire, this is a great one. It’s not too cheeky so if you like period pieces it’s still solid. I greatly enjoyed Jane’s character development and passion. Fun to see a female leader in a show of this era with strength and heart. If you’re in it for the spice, the chemistry between Jane and Guilford is palpable and I was rooting for them the whole time. It’s not the new Bridgerton or Reign, but it combines similar vibes with humor and wit. I REALLY wish there was a season two! This show deserves more hype!
