i absolutely love the book and it is now one of my favorites. however, the movie makes a fool out of the book. the movie is too theatrical and a little confusing, whereas the book is serious. the movie also doesn’t exactly follow the book, changing some details to make the movie “better”. being a book that was nominated for one of the best american novels of all time, i dont think things should have been changed to make it “better”. it was good on its own and i highly recommend to read the book rather than watch the movie.
