This story is DECENT, it’s a cool interpretation of loss. Not very fleshed out, and the main character is lacking in humanity, (doesn’t actually shower just refers to it, WEARS A BEANIE? THE ENTIRE TIME? like literally right out of the hot humid suit he’s been in?? barely talks to himself inside the module, no lore weather you water the plant or not, etc) The gameplay was okay, i was expecting more scary stuff, maybe i didn’t venture far enough. (though the game makes it seem like that’s not even welcome, its quest, then quest, then quest) One of my other issues with it was the swimming mechanics (ps5) had they made it similar to other underwater experiences (like gta when underwater, subnautica, etc) it would be - 5/5!
but they chose a random new mechanic that took like 3 sit downs to actually master, then by the time you feel like you’ve mastered it, you’re thrown in a pipe where you cannot get out and have to rely on regular mechanics of underwater swimming (applied to the sub) while water is rushing around and pushing you into walls. 🙃
some points of the game just made me mad and had to quit, and it was just me diving around. (again, still not sure why the use of common mechanics was used for the sub but not the human??) otherwise, story was decent. Controls, not so great. But hey, you kept me long enough to see the game though. Just maybe, work on the actual controls a bit in future games.
TLDR: Okay story but not worth the headbanging, just watch a play through and save your time.
