Long time reader and fan of Agatha Christie novels. I was nervous for this film since the only one I’d liked so far was Murder on the Orient Express - not even going to talk about Murder on the Nile. This had its good parts - the setting, the suspense, the dramatic reveal, Kenneth Branagh’s portrayal of Poirot to name a few. But every thing else fell flat. Tina Fey - who I usually like - was trying to add humor to the role I felt, there was no real development among the supporting cast, the overly dramatic pauses or edits. I wish they would’ve just done the original Hallowe’en Party novel versus taking the liberty but it is what it is.
