I don't know how this movie got many 5 stars. I guess they are all mostly paid reviews or from crew members. The movie lacks a strong narrative and the story is weak. The movie introduces us with brother-sister sentiment and at that juncture itself we could guess how the movie is going to carry. As expected Kathavarayan(Danush) does anything it takes to keep his sister happy, he will kill all bad guys no matter how many of them comes, he gives away his only fast food restaurant to his sister Durga to arrange her marriage. And it goes on.. The movie is boringly one sided and it's just Danush against everyone, even his own two brothers. These two sibling joins with Sethu a leader of another thug group to earn money and maintain their living. This illogical betrayal-transition made the movie a bit vague making us confused like "what is going on".. How can such affectionate brothers betray his hero for such a simple reason of earning money?. And why can't Mr. Kathavarayan find a job for his brothers if he is so much respected in their area? The movie projects the entire plot happening on an area in contemporary era Chennai slum which is lawless and anyone can kill anybody and the police can just watch.. This itself is illogical and uninteresting. There is not much role with prakash Raj (Police officer) and we couldn't even guess why Arathangi Nisha was in this movie and what role she was doing as a police officer? 😂 Three police officers are just doing sneaky cat and mouse like game trying to spy the Villains and Raayan and his whereabouts. Lol😆 We could applause the screenplay and the making and lighting effects were top notch. 👏🏻 The script and dialogues were commendable but what is the use despite all the efforts the movie lacks a good story. There were no suspense involved in the movie and no twist in the climax it's just revenge and killing. It felt as if I was watching a Telugu movie. The movie starts off with Raayan's parents getting lost and he takes the lead to save his two brothers and thwarting an abduction attempt of his sister and escaping to Chennai.. well until the end of the movie they didn't even reveal what happen to those parents leaving viewers confused. Atleast they could have revealed something it in the climax to connect the story. This is my justifications for giving this movie 2 stars. ⭐ ⭐
