As a huge fan of the original Charmed series, even naming my daughter Phoebe after my favorite sister, I was a bit weary about this reboot. I was hoping for some of the original cast, maybe the children of the charmed ones. But we don’t always get what we want. This reboot, the first episode is extremely rushed. The white lighter being known, the white lighter not actually fitting with the white lighters we know and love from the original series, the oddness of the sisters and how the oldest was given up and kept the other two. I’m not really sold on this reboot right off. It feels like the charmed name has been slaughtered and this is what came out. Even the way the white lighter gets around. What happened to the sparkly orbs? The rushed feeling of the sisters to become “the charmed ones.” I don’t particularly care for how their powers come about either.
