Honestly it was disappointing. The actors were let down by the story and the terrible script. I really thought it would take a really cool twist at the end but ultimately it was 'absent father toils with his choices when his kid comes into his life'. Add the stereotypical black/ victims, white/ evil overlords vibe, which is the tone of all 'diverse' movies and shows these days. God forbid we break the mould and give some very talented actors and directors real, open and ground breaking plots that make us sit up and take notice, without driving the same message into every single creation.
Black cinema deserves better.
