After finishing this, I can say that it's really good. It was much darker, which i found to work very well for the show, and it had the same good intense moments from the original series. It had some really good and unexpected plot twists that kept you guessing what was going to happen next, and it even had some amazing, well placed humor to break up the darker moments and bring light to the situation. Its definitely a good watch in those categories. The story flowed well and it has me exited for the second season which will hopefully come out soon. My only issue is the lesbian relationship Yaz and Sammy have, not only should sexuality be kept out of kids shows, but it felt very forced like it did in the end of Camp Cretacious. They were good as friends, but you didn't see it coming at all until the final episodes of season 5. I know when I was a kid, I wasn't even interested in watching normal straight relationships until I was a teen, but now it has become more and more common to not only shove more relationships, especially gay ones into children's shows, which is incredibly creepy to me. Every episode you are constantly reminded that they are in a relationship, and even when I was looking past the fact that it was happening, I could still see that it was still very obviously forced into every corner of the show. With that being said, I wouldn't recommend that younger kids watch it, however, if you are okay with or can get past the badly written relationship, then it is a great show for teens and older to watch if you are a fan of action, dinos, and a good time.
