Personally, this movie was so difficult to watch. It's heartbreaking to see the reason that led to the stoning of Soraya Manutchehri. The fact that it is based on a true story makes saying "utterly heartbreaking" an understatement.
Women all over the world continue to be oppressed decade after decade and in some countries, women's rights were entirely stripped away from them. In the film, you could see how the so-called entitled men use religion so absentmindedly to feed their ego. Brought out a different kind of rage in me tbh. Overall, this movie opens eyes to how women are oppressed in their daily lives.
I had a hard time watching it so ⚠️ Check for trigger warnings ⚠️
