To everyone saying she didn't deserve to go to prison, read her Wikipedia page. She had a long history of attacking people, physically abused all her partners and had been previously arrested for waving a gun at and threatening to shoot a previoyus boyfriend. Shooting someone was not all that out of character for her. While Ray was also a violent person, the investors couldn't find any evidence that he was attacking her during the incident. Adittionally, from the angle of the shots they could tell that she had shot him when he was already on the ground.
