It's a shame. The story building was really good, which is the only reason I gave two stars. It's very vulgar, (which in itself is fine if you like that sort of thing) but put in a cringe manner like "I'm going to shove this into you now." And such, narrating things theyre going to do to each other like some weird porno. And the main character is rather wishy-washy. First, you build a strong female lead; then tear it down and contradict her entire personality by basically forcing her to submit to a male lead and essentially be his slave. Then, she starts to see herself as weak. Which could be poetic in a way, but the delivery just wasn't there. They talk about expletives like I did as a teenager, just throwing the words of genitalia around in a weird, random way. Then, the detailed smut scene was so cringey that I had to skip it entirely. I am so glad I listened to the audio book instead of actually reading this teenage horndog garbage.
