I went to see The Little Mermaid and… I give it a 7.5/10! It was actually good and not bad or terrible. First, I’m gonna say what I liked about it. I loved the music, singing, and the acting. Halle Bailey was perfect for the role, especially with the song with “Part of your World”, which I am obsessed with her voice in this one just as much as the original. She was just so beautiful and so perfect and she was meant to play this role. I liked how they added Jodi Benson (the original actress of Ariel from the original 1989 movie) into the movie as a cameo. I liked the environment of the movie and I think that all of the actors were really good, but Halle was just perfect! The things I don’t like about the movie was that it was too dark, especially during the ocean scenes, I wish they could’ve made the movie a bit more brighter. The colors could’ve been a bit more vibrant and more colorful, some of the scenes were colorful but there were some that were not. Ariel’s hair in this one was beautiful but maybe they would’ve added a bit more red into it. And as for the looks of Sebastian, Flounder, and Scuttle, they weren’t the greatest and they were okay at the same time. Some of it was kinda cute but at the same time, some of it was a bit cringe. But despite the things I don’t like, I think it’s actually not that band and terrible and it’s a good movie and I would say that it’s worth watching!
