The MCU has become meta-entertainment.
What used to be niche and targeted has truly grown to become it's own genre.
Thor love and thunder is a romantic comedy spun into being using familiar Marvel threads.
There's a great helping of humor throughout while also building on a simple but relatable plot.
I think most of the negative reviews out there are viewing this film through too narrow of a lens. Yes it's a superhero movie - but it really isn't telling a superhero story. Instead it's a story about self-discovery and it just happens to use both familiar and fantastical Marvel elements.
At the end of day Thor Love and Thunder is absolutely worth a watch. It's not a serious action movie, nor is it a deep intellectual journey - but it doesn't try to be either of these things. It's fun, it's bright, and it can be quite touching - if you allow it to be.
