I loved that it was a big fat deep wide over the top old fashioned extravaganza of a musical. It’s a Las Vegas of a movie that worked in that it took my cares away with its stunning production values and remarkable casting. I wanted to be transported and it did that. Stunning dance numbers, fantastical costumes, and viscerally affecting musical numbers abound. If you want reality, and intricate plotting, go to another movie. If you want to visit wonderland for a time, go to Wicked
