Lucky Hank's sole mistake was not casting Bob Odenkirk in the leading role, but rather coming hot off the heels of Better Call Saul. In fact, there is quite frankly nobody better suited for the role of Professor Deveraux, but the sad fact of the matter is that the writing is, in the titular character's own hallowed words, mediocre. If you need proof of that, I'm writing this review based on the first 5 minutes and 53 seconds of the pilot, and I'm drunk; but I'll happily come back and revise this if it gets any better.
