I'm giving Fallout 76 a 4/5 with two caveats;
-While the game has improved DRASTICALLY since it's launch, make no mistake, it's still Bethesda. Any gameplay or QOL improvements to the game will almost without fail see massive instability with how the game runs. Prepare to get angry. Alot sometimes.
-This doesn't play exactly like previous single player entries. This can be good or bad depending on your personal taste. Yes you can play alone, but you will have to fork out a Fallout 1st subscription fee. Overall, most of what makes Fallout fun is there, but it IS still a online service game.
If you love Fallout, and have a buddy or two that do as well, I'd say give it a shot. I'd also recommend that shot be a prolonged one (roughly 100 hours) as you will have to account for the time needed to adjust to the learning curve of perk builds, gameplay loop, and the aforementioned crashes. So many crashes.
Hey Bethesda, get your sh*t together. For the love of god.
