*Spoiler alert*
I really enjoyed this book. I only picked it up because I got a quick loan through my library app because i was doubtful as it had mixed reviews. But it turned out to be a great read. The twists were amazing, and the story really explored the depravity of human nature and the extent to which greed can drive people to commit insane acts. It also examined the idea that not all women are meant to be mothers.
One thing that could have been better was a deeper dive into the main antagonist’s psyche. He was portrayed as so evil through his actions, but a little more character development would have made it even stronger. It also would have been interesting to explore how sometimes the fruit does fall far from the tree.
