Read all the books and can't adequately express my disappointment with this series. Marybeth transforms from a librarian mom to a gun toting lawyer and Joe instead of being strong and steady is portrayed as sullen and unstable. He also experiences hallucinations triggered by an abusive childhood. Important characters are brought into some scenes and then forgotten. Because there is no follow through, the plot seems like a group of disjointed vignettes. The underlying theme of the series is that white hunters and all police are bad and everyone else is good. Murder is ok as long as you kill bad hunters and corrupt police officers. Ridiculous waste of my eyes. Where are you C, J, Box?
