This show does a serious disservice to viewers who may need to take prescription medication for mental health illnesses, such as chronic depression and bi-polar disorder with psychotic features. I am distressed by the refusal of certain characters to take helpful medications purely because they may need to take them long term. Needing to take medication indefinitely for an illness like diabetes would never have been questioned. The writers on this show are perpetuating bias against medications that are life saving for many individuals with treatable mental illnesses.
